Assured Guaranty has been a leader in providing reinsurance to financial guarantors for more than 18 years. The Company has a proven track record, demonstrated by its ability to analyze and execute on reinsurance opportunities across a variety of asset classes in the structured and public finance markets. The reinsurance operations of Assured Guaranty Ltd. are centralized in Bermuda at Assured Guaranty Re Ltd., which is rated AA/Aa2/AA by Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investors Service and Standard & Poor’s, respectively.
Assured Guaranty’s reinsurance is generally structured as quota share contracts on either a treaty or facultative basis.
Assured Guaranty will only enter into reinsurance treaties with financial guarantors with extensive underwriting experience and a highly successful underwriting record. Assured Guaranty will work with ceding companies to negotiate treaty terms that accommodate their needs, while ensuring that exposures placed with Assured Guaranty are consistent with its underwriting philosophy and return on capital parameters.
Assured Guaranty offers extensive facultative reinsurance capacity to ceding companies within the financial guaranty markets. Our facultative reinsurance underwriters have extensive experience in both public and structured finance. This results in timely reviews of all analytical material presented by potential ceding primary companies and delivery on facultative commitments that are market timing sensitive.
